Is there a point to have ad groups in placement targeted campaigns? Since there are no keywords in placement campaigns, there is no relation of ad copy / keyword per ad group fro quality score. I normally split the placements into ad groups of related themes, but having it in one group would simplify the bid management and ensure I don't have placement duplicated across multiple ad groups. So the question is - is there any benefit of grouping placements into ad groups?
Yes, as you may want to show ads for different themes on different sites. Especially if you advertise several different products. Plus I find that huge ad groups are more complicated to manage that bunch of smaller ones.
