So long as the ads are not in my face, I don't really mind either way... As a webmaster, I do try to be as un-intrusive as possible as I try to deliver exactly what I expect. I've un-bookmarked sites that have resorted to pop-ups/unders and wont bookmark a site that has more ads then content.
Blending the ad with the design so it doesn't appear to be an outsider is the key to success, in my opinion.
I think a site with good quality content is the main thing I go for. If it has ads on then it doesn't worry me as long as they don't interrupt my browsing to much like excessive flashing ads, popups/unders, etc...
I dont mind sites with ads just as long as they arent overpowering with ads that dont blend into the site.
i hate sites with ads all over them which are right in your face. i dont mind sites which have ads which have been blended in nicely with the sites design, and might even click on those ads, but as for sites which just have had a load of ads thrown on them in no particular order i always click back and go to th next site.
