Hi! I would like to know one thing about advertisement laws. I´m from Brazil, and here we have rigorous laws concerning advertisement. A Counsel (called CONAR) settles what is or not correct to be published. Sex, crimes, and elements like "typical-british-humor" is not tolerated. Any brazilian citizen can make a complaint if it feels uncomfortable with an ad. I´ve already worked with a gentleman that won a Lion Cannes in 1987, and he told me that his tv ad was censured by CONAR, because he used in his client ad - a company which sells carpet - a Pope alike Jonh Paul II checking the brand of the carpet. After checking it, the Pope could assure the quality, and finally kiss the carpet. There´s nothing disrespectful at this, but in a catholic country people may not see that way. Is there in your country any Ad Counsel like Brazil’s? What more you can tell me about this? Thx Tanios Acacio
