    Hello,

An error_log file is created inside the public_html folder of my hosting. This file is very huge and eats up all the space of my hosting.

First why this error_log is created at first? I am using the ad_network_305.php and I have taken it from the ad coop login itself; I have followed all the steps as mentioned in that.

Please help me in this asap.

    Here is the error_log

[01-Sep-2005 23:09:02] PHP Warning: fsockopen(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/public_html/ad_network_305.php on line 7
[01-Sep-2005 23:09:02] PHP Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to ads.digitalpoint.com:80 in /home/public_html/ad_network_305.php on line 7
[01-Sep-2005 23:09:02] PHP Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/public_html/ad_network_305.php on line 8
[01-Sep-2005 23:09:02] PHP Warning: feof(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/public_html/ad_network_305.php on line 9
[01-Sep-2005 23:09:02] PHP Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/public_html/ad_network_305.php on line 10

The error log is filled up with these errors.

    Regards

This could be a permissions problem, or if you are sure it is not, check this thread out:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=26713

The time frame of your log entries is after the performance issue I believe, but who knows what the time zone differences are.

It looks like your server is unable to resolve the IP address for the server (DNS problem).

    How can I check this?

I have been getting this problem since a long time. Its now been 2 months since I am getting this problem. After every 4-5 days, I get a new error_log with all such errors and eats up all my web space.

I also changed the hosting, but it didn't helped.

Can anyone guide me on the solution or the steps to fix this. It would be really helpful.

    Thanks
    Teena

I think it's a hostgator specific problem, I moved from my websites away from there and the sites that I moved are fine.

What's the IP address of your website? I'll see if there is a good route between the digitalpoint servers and that machine.
