Ad Campaign with only a few keyword phrases

I have put together ad campaigns in the past.

The ad campaigns with alot of keywords. ie.50 to 100 always bleed the account dry and show many impressions

Why is it when I create a campaign with only 10 specific keyword phrases the impressions go down dramatically?

    Thanks in advance,

I think that answer is pretty clear. The more keywords you have the more impressions you're going to get. Having 10 in there is fine, but make sure those 10 get enough impressions to make it worthwhile.

Each keyword has it's own search volume. So, like PPC coach said - less keywords = less searches = less impressions.

It is really important to consider how relevant keywords are to your site and your landing page.

If any of the keywords you deleted were relevant, creat ad groups specifically for each group of related keywords and create landing pages that correspond to them.

It appears you have done thorough keyword research - this would be the time to get it done.
