Someone here suggested to take an entirely different marketing approach to make the most out of AdWords for Content (as oppose to Search). This person started off pretty interesting but left after just 5 posts leaving us in the dark about the low down. He suggested writing different ad copy as well as optimizing different landing pages. All different from the Search ads for the same KWs. Sounds like a plan... I'm willing to give the content network another (educated) go but I'm wondering how to go about this. Using the same ads, same bids and same landing pages doesn't work, FACT (for me). But how would it work? I always simplified it like this: Someone searching Google for the KW I 'bought' is actively searching for this. More likely to be ready to be converted. Someone clicking an AdSense ad was not necessarily looking for the KW related to this word. Less likely to be ready to be converted. I'm leaving fraud out of the picture here so please skip that... Adopting two different approaches seems to make sense. But what approach should be adopted to convert Content clicks? Any ideas on this?
Hmmm looks like he's not coming back, what a tease , I disabled the content ads straight away as I think people clicking on them are making impulse clicks so the conversion rate is likely to be very low........fraud does enter the equation as well . People actually typing in the search term are likely to be much more qualified and ready to buy. To get around that someone sugested to do up two ad groups using the same ad and keywords, one for the search pages and the other for the content pages, the idea is to use the minimum cost per click for the content pages. What I don't know is how Google displays the ads on the content pages in relation to your spend. If you spend $5 per click or 5c for your term..... does Google display the ad the same number of times or I'm hoping these questions and many more are going to be answered in the book I am sitting here waiting to arrive
if someone want to launch a picture ad, it has to be in a content page right? cause i don't see no picture ad on search page before...
