I made one change to one of my blogs. I changed the top ad block from a 250x250 to a 336x280. The CTR went up. The CPC went down. Is it possible that certain ad blocks are populated with lower-paying ads?
I wonder you use the image or text ads for these format? if you choose both (image and ads), ofc u will get lower cpc because 336x280 shows lots image ads (and they are cost lower than text ads although people love to click ads like that). for more information try this site tinycoin.com
I've only had the big block up for a few days...I'm waiting for more data to draw any huge conclusions. My CTR went up by 2%. The CPC went down...when I leveled it out it looks like I lose about 4 cents per 100 visits by using the larger ad so far. Tinycoin - where do you get the information that says that bigger ads mean more pictures? where do you get the information that says pictures = lower cpc? (not doubting, just wondering what the source is so I can read more).
