Ad block no longer blocking adsense ads 100%?

So, is anyone here using Ad block for google chrome or Firefox?

If you have adsense blocked as well - sometimes the ads are still displaying.

Is this just happening to me or is this happening to you as well?

    When did it start?

It's very simple. You can use custom filter for that. check for the ad url (for example if it is starting like doubleclick...., you can use custom filter with *doubleclick* or something similar) and block it using custom filter.

Do you notice it on all sites or just specific ones? If it is just certain sites, does it always happen on that site? If you are looking at another person's site and it happens always on that site, it is possible that they set up a server side script that grabs the javascript from adsense and hard codes it to the page before serving the page to you. Other ad networks use this technique to get around ad filters. Google is not interested in this approach (understandably) but a creative programmer could do it on their own.

I never used adblock, but I've read that adsense recently changed the way they load their ads in order to reduce latency. so perhaps that's a reason.

Are you suggesting Google now doesn't block Ads from itself? I haven't met any of blocking fail, except the ads form ISP.

I didn't say adsense had that option, I said a creative programmer could make it happen.

ForgottenCreature, if it is happening on a lot of sites, have you tried re-installing the add on to see if that helps?
