If you call 59.4 Million users "a small percentage" who use adblock AKA adblock Plus, then sure, whatever floats your boat. :D

That's 59 Million downloads not users.

I own 3 computers, all have had AdBlock on them at one time or another, plus I usually reformat the computers at least once a year to keep them from slowing down with useless programs, so I re-download the latest version once I have reformatted.

On the statistics page for the program, it says...
    Active Daily Users: 8,436,822

8 million is a small percentage of overall internet users.

    Cheers

i dont understand is that some people are mentally trained to ignore ads, the ads are invisible for them... im one of those people.. i do not need a program to block ads.. so why have programs?

Heh, doesn't bother me. It's still an extremely small percentage of the actual internet population, which is about 1.5 BILLION users... so thats only 4% (for the total 50 Million downloads) but since there are only 8.5 million active users thats a marginal 0.5% of the total browsing population.

If you think thats going to lower your ad revenue... work harder.

I use Ad Muncher and I must say that is the best ad blocker.

After trying several popup and ad blockers, I discovered Ad Muncher was the best by far, the only problem is that you have to pay for it, and I must say that is definitely worth the money.

Ad Muncher blocks ads in all browsers, kills unwanted popups in all browsers, Removes advertising in many desktop programs, blocks many spyware, adware and dialer installers, protects your privacy, a lot of settings and options, daily filter list updates and many more.

    download Ad Muncher from here.

I use Anti Ad-Block plug-in for wordpress. Unless a user disables adblock then they can't be allowed to view my content. I use adbrite and they pay for CPM so all visitors = $$$ regardless if they click on ads or not. And that's the point some people miss especially if they only use CPC program. Anyways .. if it doesn't make money then it doesn't make sense. That's how I see it and thus, I will make every last dime possible even if it means loosing freeloading adblock users.

This is a leagal issue i believe. But Only 2 types of people click on Ads

    1. who want to read that Ad
    2. who donot know what they want to do and click randomly

so only the second category will be missed out

I use AdBlock and I'm glad it exists. I still support websites I trust by clicking on relevant ads and disabling AdBlock for them, that's all. And I can see others do the same for my blog.

There are just way too many ads on the web now. When people put ads everywhere, including popups etc. it affects my experience on the web and I don't see why I should put up with that. One ads here and there doesn't bother users... but some people got greedy and put ads everywhere - no wonder AdBlock was created!

I think it will force some webmasters to re-think their model, that's all.

Imagine the future. At the point when 85% of all internet users have ad block, I will tell you to go work harder.
