Ad Autoposters - Are they a ripoff?

I just built a new site to sell products and services. I have been offline for a few years because of an identity theft thing. I reinstalled my autoposters (Classify98 and SubmitWolf) and set out to post ads. Traffic has been a trickle at best.

I've looked at some of the sites that say that they'll send your ad to thousands or millions of sites or individuals but it's been my experience that the ads go to other members ho had to either accept a free ffa site as part of their membership or agree to accept emails to be able to send them. In either case I don't believe that there are any actual customers in these deals.

Are there any decent ad submitters or autoposters wotrh bothering with anymore?

I tried few of these so-called "blasters" - no one bring any traffic or any quality visitors.

We have a forum blaster that is effective, but only because we were selective on the boards added. Most of the ones we tried did not work....Some can do a decent job of getting links though.
