I have several sites for my company that are done in Wordpress. I really like the templates and the ease with which you can create sites. However I have a concern about the traffic I am getting. How can I distinguish between actual people that are coming to the site versus comment spam? I would really like to know how my sites are preforming minus all the spam traffic. My sites are not blogs and I am not against using another CMS platform. However I like the ease of use that comes from Wordpress and there are a lot of good looking templates. Thanks for everyone's advice in advance.
Google analytics is the best option for you, there are also plugins that integrate it for you. If you want to use something integrated in the website, then just search for a plugin that does visitor statistics for you. There are plenty on wordpress's official plugin site.
As damian said, Analytics is the best way to go. It contains numerous information that you couldn't be able to retrieve otherwise. It will help you to investigate where your visitors are coming from and how they got to you sites, which can be very helpful.
You can use Google analytic for that. Google can obviously do that. And there is a lot of good plugins for that in the wordpress plugin collection.
The best way to get actual visitor is always write unique and market your content through social media, engage your visitors and always help your readers what you know about. Share your opinions with your readers. NEVER think of vanity.
