Actual MSN traffic...

I'm thinking of putting up a site and optimizing for MSN early, because of the Google Sandbox effect... but, read a really discouraging article (about Overture results) about actual keyword traffic, and was wondering your experience here:

This is about the difference between word tracker and overture:
    http://www.wordtracker.com/articles/index.php/academy/demystifying_the_radically_different_keyword_results_provided_by_overture_a/

To save you some reading, basically, the article says that Overture is really over-inflating there keyword search queries by about a factor of 10.

What I'm wondering is, if you are optimized for a keyword that gets 10,000 Overture queries a month, and on the 1st page of MSN results for that keyword phrase, about how many visitors do you get from MSN for that phrase every month.

Appreciate hearing your experience here... Thanks... Starke

Most of the time both wordtracker and overture figures appear in same range. Now wordtracker is inflating by ten then ? :)

I don't know, I'm not that familiar with Wordtracker (just haven't used it too much compared to Overture)... Overture might have made a change to be be more like wordtracker too...

But an interesting article about how the keyword phrases are inflated. Curious how this correlates to actual traffic.
