    Actors. Most of the time, a very famous actor will be more famous than a famous singer.

    Movies can be watched and understood in multiple languages with dubs/subtitles.

    I think popularity of a singer or actor depend on country. when we goes to India actor is more popular then singers but other countries choice is singers.
