Acne site - PR5 in 23 days.

After checking over my sites ..i found that my Acne blog has a PR of 5. checkpagerank.net says it's valid and only has 8 backlinks.

the site itself has been changing hands steadily ..and the last time it had real content was 2005. I registered it 23 days ago and started adding content.

My other new sites that I slaved over for last 2 months got PR0 and PR1.

What i wanna know ..is it valid ? Is it an error ?

Unless the 8 backlinks are 8,9, or 10 PR then my guess would be it is an error.

Check out who is linking to you.
If you have a PR 5 or above site linking to you then you might have a good site on your hands.

    It might be worth optimizing.

To know the exact Back links that Google count go to Google webmasters tool and add your site.

It could be that this domain have thousands of back links

I have for instance more than 5000 back links Google counts 1500 but with any back link tools I will get only 16

You can also chick your PR with PR tool
Search with the phrase page rank tool

see what deferent tools are telling you about the domain.

I have never noticed any error with Page rank so the odds are you have a PR5 blog with thousands of back link.

optimize the pages and you can get thousands of visits per day

Use different services to check the PR, maybe it's an error caused by some parameters. Like already said, it won't be the case until you have some high quality site linking do your blog.
I'm interested if that's an error.

google likes to shave down the results it shows for backlinks - typically only the higher PR sites get shown. Yahoo tends to show everything.

google always overtrusted 'aged' domains i think it's almost impossible to get pr higher than 2 or 3 for a domain with about 1month-age

maybe your domain previously get high ranked already?

One of the first domains I bought on DP was a dmoz listed doamin. The list vanished the day after I bought...

The second still has its listing and have been quite profitable :)

On a few other domains, where the backlinks are still visible on yahoo, its has been mixed.. One of my sites was greyed out..
