Burj Al Arab The Burj Al Arab is a luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates managed by the Jumeirah Group and built by Said Khalil. It was designed by Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC. At 321 metres (1,053 ft), it is the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel. However, the Rose Tower, also in Dubai, which has already topped Burj Al Arab's height, will take away this title upon its opening in April 2008. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 metres (919 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure, designed to symbolize Dubai's urban transformation and to mimic the sail of a boat. I think that this hotel is the best in the world!!!
The design of the hotel is an architectural marvelous and sure Dubai will be known for this exclusive landmark in future. -Dairyman
Well its rather bathetic, Because as you approach it, from the main road, you have to drive past dubai's water park, and then up to a big white metal gate, which is loaded with security. You wouldn't of thought the best hotel in the world would have such an unusual approach from the road! We also had a butler outside our room so we could order what we wanted when we wanted. Also the rooms are spread over 2 floors, which is really unusual because I have never been to a hotel where you have 2 floors! I would just like to point out though, that it has not been accredited 7 stars, That is just what the owners think it is worth Basically they gave themselves the 7 star rating!

I did watch Discovery about Burg Al-Arab. Amazing, I must say. Hope I'll be able to stay there one fine day.
was at a 7 star hotel in istanbul turkey and ive also visited the burj in dubai and in my opinion the burj definitely deserves 7 star status. it is truly a wonderful piece of engineering and lives up to its reputation in every way. props to dubai for leading the arab world in a new modern direction.
