Try to imagine a world without GW Bush as the president of the USA. How would the world look like? Well Afganistan would live under talibanism, Shia muslims and kurds in Iraq would suffer and longer terrorwave would spread along the world.

One might wonder what Saddam would do. Mayby he would use his WMDs against Israel or Kurdistan(like he did before). He might have bought longrange missiles from NK like Iran did, to make an invasion as impossible as possible. He would probably going to co-operate with Irans nuclear program as a result of changed strategies.

That would be very bad news for US, considering that the oilprice would be in terrorist hands. The growth rate would be half than those of today(without taking the effects of terrorism and the more furious oilprice). But there wouldn't be a chance of escape here considering that the current president wouldn't be able to afford spending money on alternative-fuel-research like Bush did, but rather signing the Kyoto protocoll and killing the industry.

But the good thing with this is that mayby Bush would become president after the revolution and get the respect that he deserves when he saved the planet from the stupidity. Even if that would be too late.

because there is no order there. kidnapping, booming etc. The dictator maybe be gone but does not mean it is any better of or the suffing has gone.

also not signing Kyoto protocol just shows you only care about yourself nothing else and all the money that was spent on the war could have been spent on alternative-fuel-research instead.

Hmm...I think to really convince people of your position, you're going to have to present some facts instead of specualations and assumptions. Any president would have gone into Afghanistan after 9/11 and toppled the Taliban. Saddam could have done anything, as could any other dicatator, so saying he might have done something is just silly.

Because, what happened as a result of Bush's decisions did more harm than good. We invaded Iraq to find WMDs. We never found WMDs. Instead, we usurped a dictator and started an endless war and Iraq is in ruin.

I've been to London once and seen areas of no order. Atleast this people got some freedom. The same situation is going on in Iraq. Saddam supporters and infiltrators from Syria and Iran are constantly trying to destroy the democratic republic. These people are however loosing. We have seen fewer and fewer of these kinds of attacks lately.
Why signing Kyoto protocol when it will hurt the economy?

You really think so? I can't imagine Clinton doing any brave like this.

Saddam have done really horrible things before, why would sitting back be a good thing?

The same old slogan. Ofcourse you do know a very little about the good things thanks to corporate media such as CNN. Did you know that the GDP growth in Iraq was more than 50% year 2004?

The most common cause for death in Iraq isn't KIA. It's car accidents and diseases. But hey, we got that at home don't we?

Every time there's such incident it will be reported CNN. It may happen a few times every week. Therefore your picture of Iraq is a place where americans get shot and people make suicides. You are brainwashed.

Actually, that is what Iraq is at this time. Also, if you look at this place you will see that 2,415 US soldiers are dead and 17,381 have been wounded. Not to mention the thousands of foreign troops and Iraqis that are dead and injured. Brainwashed? I don't think so.

Absolutely. The American people would have demanded it, and with a republican-controlled Congress, it was going to happen. After 9/11, the Taliban was toast, regardless of how was in the WH.

That is a very low casualty number for a war, considering the time and the size of the country. Remember that Saddam lost hundred thousands of troops the first weeks. Now that's a normal casualty number.
