No Follows e.g. <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.url.com/page.php" title="linktitle"> were originally created to help search engines work through Spam issues in blogs (specifically the comments arena).

From reading articles such as wikipedia, there appears to be growing evidence to suggest that promoting "nofollow" tags for internal use on a website, is beneficial to a SEM / rank / positioning.

I was wondering whether there is anyone out there that has achieved experience success by employing "nofollow" tactics?

You can use nofollow tags on your site to help funnel spiders to the important pages and thus in turn funnel page rank to the pages that you want to promote. For instance, lets say your home page has 100+ links on it. You can no follow the ones that point to "less-valuable" pages, in terms of SEO, such as Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, etc.. This way the spiders will not spend time on those and your page rank will not be diluted by having to be spread to from the homepage of your site to all 150 links off of your homepage.
