I do not mean to disrespect anyone, neither am I aiming for reversing an infraction. But I just need a couple of minutes of your time for an explanation, if you do not mind.

Yesterday I opened a new thread in BST selling E*Trade bank account opening kits. The packages contained application forms, sample forms for illustrations and instructions on how to fill the form. Etrade offers bank accounts for non-US citizens, legally. Now everything went fine for a few hours but then, an email, alerting of an infraction, along with the following note:

Now that is...Well, out of respect I'm not commenting on that note. Dozens of other members, reputable members here have been in this business. Can you kindly give an answer to how exactly is this considered "Defrauding the US banking system"?

Thank you very much. And I would really appreciate giving me and other members the opportunity to reply, if possible. It feels bad that honest members get to pay for mod misunderstandings. It does not seem that an effort has been made to even backup that claim. Well, I guess we're all humans after all, and mods are quite busy. But I sure hope someone can help me with this. Oh one last thing, mod Smyrl, after 18 days of an open thread I posted here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1577309 decided to reply and close it, just after I had recievd the infraction. So what does that mean?

    Thank you.

I did see your other threads in this section where you were allowed to do so. May be one of the mods could get better details. The method is legal then there should be no harm

Yes the etrade US bank account for Non-US residents is perfectly legal and doesn't violate any US banking laws.

That is correct. I remember seeing those bank kits on ebay a while ago I don't know if they were the same one's that he is selling but they should be similar.

Account sales aren't allowed, and I would say that falls under account sales.

    Hello Shawn,

The package as I mentioned earlier are application forms and sample application forms, in addition to instructions. What is being sold here is help and aid to create the account, no usernames and passwords or anything similar that could fit under account sales. You fill the application forms, you send it, you send a copy of your passport, I only guide.

    I hope you understand now.

    Thanks.

I thought you were able to at least state that it is incorrect on behalf of your team, Shawn. I thought that you are responsible for your own team's action. Sorry if I misunderstood anything.

Can the Mod who made it correct it, please? And final notes, will you still consider it 'account sale'?

Thanks again and sorry for all the fuss.

I have no knowledge of American banking legislation, but I do know that DP usually only allows one account per person.

In my experience when something being legal is one of the selling points it usually means the whole thing is just a loophole that technically isn't illegal yet because the people it effects haven't caught on to what's happening.

If you punch your wife in the eye and she says -- "Please don't punch me in the eye anymore" -- that doesn't mean you should kick her in the other eye because, technically, she didn't say anything about kicking.

I think you just got told. I would quit while I was ahead if it were me. Especially around these here forums.

When the main man tells you its over, its over. Suggest finding another venue for your banking biz.
