Has anybody had any experience with how accurate the Overture results are, as used by http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion
I don't know how accurate the numbers are but it does give you a good idea of which terms are searched more often than others. The ratio usually matches my adwords stats and referral logs.
What do the overture stats represent now that yahoo own overture? And, if I place 1st for a keyword phrase that gets (according to overture) 342 searches a day, does that mean I'll be seen at the top of 342 searches on yahoo?
Wouldn't mind making this old thread actually useful and learn something with your help. Lets try to figure out a rough ratio between searches shown in the overture keyword suggestion tool and the number of clicks by serp position. Here's mine to start: Keyword Tool says: 17,500 per month = roughly 580/day Yahoo Serp position: 1 Referrals from Yahoo Search: 25/day = a whopping 4% Number of Paid Ads Above my listing: 4 Will add some more later.
