Accuracy of Google Webmaster Tools

    There appears to be a lag in Google Webmaster Tools...... its said for the last 1 month that I only have 70 backlinks..... when in fact I now have close to 100........


    It did this before, it said I had 30 for a few months, and then adjusted to 70......


    Does anyone know of Google Webmaster Tools backlinks is what Google uses to count........... or do they count the backlinks that havent been counted by the tools yet?

    In other words, is this like Page Rank.... where backlinks are updated every so often?

    Its working just fine for me..
    But, Its really hard to keep a track of 50,000+ backlinks.

    It is a free tool for webmaster developed by google. You can select crawling rate, geotargeting, and provide sitemaps directly to google.

    Consult sir google and type the 'keyword': Google Webmaster Tools.
