Account put on hold again

    This is ridiculus my account has been put on hold for the 4th time. Every single time has been for the same thing, which is something I can't even fix.

    *The ad unit must be clearly labeled as ?Ads by Yahoo!?

    So what I did was I took the code they provided me and I made the background color #f1f4f9 which is a light grey to match the background of my site. In doing so the stupid "Ads by Yahoo!" link turned white which makes it hard to see. I think this is an error on their end not mine seeing how I can't change the color of the "Ads by Yahoo!" link. I always tell them that and then 24 hours later they send me an email saying sorry this is a problem on our end you account is active again. Also I think ypn should keep like notes on certain sites. To suspend a site 4 times over the same thing which is a problem on their end seems kind of crazy to me. Has anyone else had this problem or just me?

    i had the same issue - never put on hold but spent lots of time on the phone and emails. i got yahoo to aknowledge it is a tech. error on their end, and that it is ok for me to display ads. i saved a copy of that email.

    you want to get the same sort of admission and email.

    it is 100% a technical error on their end - call YPN support...

    It's no visible becuase their code doesn't make it visble. I have no way to controll that I just picked a color. I didn't know I was limited to certain colors. I don't think anything else violates the t.o.s. or they would have put it in the email....I think they would atleast.

    I would suggest to call them again and again till they don't stop disabling? Better way is try to do minor change in your ad format [dont have to be background]. change font inside ad, may be..

    major problem can be when they don't accept their mistake. till then you are fine:p

    I Think Yahoo is trying to make that 'Ads by Yahoo' as black for grey background. For some ads I do see as black and for some it is white.

    WoW. I am not the only one has this problem. With the gray background, the words "ads by yahoo" sometimes show as black, but most time they are white.

    Anyway, I will not contact yahoo since I put "Yahoo Picks!" above the ads. Hope it is fine and it really looks great this way. :)

    That is bad luck, but like Yahoo says it is in there agreement so if you want to display their ads you must follow their rules. Nonetheless, that is terrible news. I hope everything works out!

    i have had this problem several times with suspensions. to avoid the frustration and waiting for them to reactivate my account, i actually went way out of my way and changed my page bknd colors ever so slightly until i found a close color that allowed the ads by yahoo to be visible.

    good luck.

    I had the same problem, seems to be a glitch with certain background colors when you blend the border with the background. What fixed it for me was slightly varying the color of the background and border, you won’t be able to see the difference but the “ads by yahoo” will show. Here’s an example:

    ctxt_ad_width = 336;
    ctxt_ad_height = 280;
    ctxt_ad_bc = "F7F7F7";
    ctxt_ad_cc = "F8F8F8";
    ctxt_ad_lc = "000080";
    ctxt_ad_tc = "3D3D3D";
    ctxt_ad_uc = "C0C0C0";

    Hello Dave,

    Thank you for your e-mail.

    I have reviewed your account and your site is actively displaying YPN ads.

    I have, however, added notes to your account about the problem you are having
    with the display of the ad heading, "Ads by Yahoo!"

    This should take care of the suspension of your account for this particular
    reason.

    Thank you for your patience during the beta phase of YPN.

    Yeah I thought about doing that, but it wouldn't help them any. I figured they were going to have to fix it someday rather then just bully everyone into picking a color that works. After my 4th suspension it looks like they finally fixed the problem. :)

    this is why I love Yahoo.. Google will say "screw you, I won't talk to you , no reason, sucks to be you, we keep all the money MUHAHAHAHAHA" but Yahoo is willing to work with you. I got suspended once for image next to ads, but I got my account back immediately.. :)

    I still don't know why I got banned from Adsense.. They call it invalid clicks, but then I was making less than $1 a day at that time.. so what the hell?? so they took $30 oh well..

    if adsense got any better, I might apply with my business name in the future..

    Yahoo will thow out publishers though like google does...keep that in mind but you get to keep some or all of the money

    I had my account suspended a couple months ago. Had to wait the full three days.
    I thought about calling them or sending an email to hasten the process but I didnt want to waste thier time.

    Idiotic. We don't get to choose the "ads by yahoo" text. YPN has so many issues to iron out, and it seems as if they NEVER even attempt to iron any of it out. I see a lot of problems that remains unaddressed since forever.

    It's a bug with yahoo, and it's been that way for at least 6 months. Publishers have no way to pick which color the "ads by yahoo" is displayed in (short of changing site colors). There is certainly a communication problem between yahoo tech and those who review sites. I've gotten two of these emails and the end results was "I have confimed it is an issue with yahoo and not something you have done so your site is not in violation."
