    Hi,

Is it illegal to create and maintain a account on any warez forum ?

If yes, can any company file a lawsuite against me??

It's not illegal to be part of any forum... It's just illegal to download warez content.. So without leaving proof of your downloading there is no evidence of it...

That is unless they really had it in for you and they checked your IP with Rapidshare or something to see if you'd downloaded copyright stuff..

I think you're pretty safe though... I don't know of anyone who's ever been caught by being a member of a warez forum, put it that way!

Also, be careful with what you say. Don't say something like "The serial doesn't work" as that incriminates you.

If they did get your IP from RapidShare (very unlikely) then you could accidentally not secure your wireless router. ;)

i love that response i have used that before having wirless is a wonder as anyone in the area could have done it. altho most cuntrys have it in there law that being dumb dose not exuces what happend kinda meaning if someone used your net to do a crime they can still hold you responsible for that crime.

If you download the content, or contribute towards illegal file... It's against the law, if you're just a member; you're fine. :)

It's down to the owner of every access point (router), to secure their network, because they are liable for the IP distributed to that network.. So this wouldn't stand up in court really, 'cause it's still your responsibility.
