I remember the last account I had which was limited for no reason I was able to refund buyers. But I don't have that option in this new account I created. WTF?! Is this new? Can I assume my money is stuck until I can lift the limitation?
Find out from Paypal as to why your account is limited. Did they ask you to provide certain documentations ?
The stuff they wanted was pretty basic. Change password, confirm bank account, confirm location, change secret questions. Confirming a bank will take me too long and I don't think I want to do that on an account that's already been limited. It's a 2 week old account. Anyway it just occurred to me to email my buyers and asked them to file a claim against me so I can refund them that way. I assume it works like that. I don't know why I don't have the refund link.
I hate paypal's account suspension policy. PayPal can detect your location from your IP when you create the account. Unfortunately they don't do so. Instead they check location when you try to send money. If your location doesn't match with IP then they suspend your account. The money you have receive by this time will be in paypal's pocket. Very good business in deed!!! PayPal is not operating in my country. So paypal should barred me to open an account or at least should give an warning message stating, "You are opening the account from a country where paypal is not operating".
