Account change in GoDaddy

I recently purchased a domain name on GoDaddy and ICANN says something about a 60 day transfer period.

I haven't done this before, but does that 60 days refer to account changes just as well inside the system?

    Thanks!

The ICANN's rule is that you can not transfer the domain from one registrar to another registrar before it has been 60 days old.

But you should be able to change the account in GoDaddy since there is no change in the registrar.

60 day period applies to all the registrars. Once you have registered a domain, you cannot transfer away for a min of 60 days. With GD, even if you make any changes to your registrant information, you still cannot transfer the domain for another 60 days.
