Account Blocked by PayPal

I added a bank account to my paypal account last week, however, instead of checking the "checking account" box, I stupidly checked the "savings account" box and now the system says it has blocked that account number when I try to add it again since the two deposits never showed up. Any idea on what to do to get that unblocked?

Contact paypal using their 'famous' on-line support form, be concise, provide all relevant details that you can and then pray for a positive outcome!

You can't play with bank details, need to be extremely careful when using them anywyere online, and Paypal isn't an exception. You do have to call them and explain the situation, and you might also be liable to pay penalty fees if there's a failed transaction on the list.

If you make a mistake Paypal blocks you but all it takes is a phone call to remove the block. I had a similar problem when I tried to cancel a paypal ATM transaction 1/2 way thru and anther when the ATM shut down part way thru the transaction. Phone calls reactivated the card within an hour.

Their email support is crap. Never expect a reply.

Call them, the best option. Though, you get someone on the other side after 20-30 minutes but at least you are assured that a HUMAN is on other side. Emails are usually auto responses.
