According to google, only about 1270 sites links to facebook.com?

    folks,

    when enter in google info:facebook.com
    it says "Find web pages that link to facebook.com"
    then if we click that (here is the link http://x.co/JPLB) it says about 1270 sites that links to facebook.com. can this be true :confused:

    info:website doesnt listed down all the links
    Go for the google webmaster tools and you can see all of them

    Google never gives accurate data on links. it's been the same all the time

    Yes, Google webmaster tool is to monitor our own site.

    If you want to numbers of backlinks a site have regardless of dofollow, nofollow, social bookmarks, directories, comments, etc; you can see it via http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/

    From Yahoo site explorer, Facebook have 463 million backlinks.

    That should answer your question.
