Accommodating for ajax

I have a page which lists some products, e.g Robot Oven Cleaner, now when you click on the hyperlink it'll open the product in dynamanic lightbox page via ajax, so obviously search spiders won't be able to crawl this page.

Now next to the hyper link I have a small image which is linking to a standard php page which I intend to be crawled.

Now will google bot crawl this link just as good asif it was a stand link.


img is using a alt tag only (alt="Robot Oven Cleaner")

ajax is difficult to make seo. because of this , i hate ajax

 

Image links are also followed by search engines. If you write descriptive alt tag, you did everything you could in the given cicrumstances. In my opinion text links would pass forward more relevance.
