Accidental clicks on other sites...

this one is interesting..

Q1: How many times have you ever clicked accidentally on AdSense links on *other* sites ? (i.e, not your site).

May be because the ad's were soo well blended into the content, or it were along the edge of the page (say near scrollbars or just below the tabs in firefox)

Just curious to know the numbers!

Q2 : How many of your visitors do you think have done the same ?

 

That's pretty much the only time I ever click on adsense - by mistake...

 

I mostly do it when closing a pop-up window and there is an ad right behind it.

 

It wouldn't be surprising that many people on this forum only click on ads by mistake. Including myself, mostly due to navigating back and forth pages with my browser's rocker navigation.

 

I accidentally click on ads about once per week. Never because the ads are well blended, always because my mouse pad is overly sensitive sometimes.

If I was to guess, I would suspect about 1% of all clicks fall into this category.

 

With directories I'd say it's way more than 1% as text ads from google have such ads as "Submit URL" "Add URL" and the like.

 

never ever - when i open any new webpage the first thing i see in it is, what advertising system they are using, if they use adsense how the organize it. So i did it never

 

click by accident? Then, I have a problem with my mouse

 

for me, it happens sometimes when i switch between tabs in firefox, and the ad is right at the top of the page. (eg : statcounter.com)

 

I don't think I have ever clicked an Adsense ad by mistake. I guess, like Programmer I am always looking to see how they presenting AS so I am always aware it is there.

 

By accidental what i meant was,... you knew it was there, but still you clicked it!. Like for eg.. in statcounter.com, i very well know where the ads are. But i have accidentally clicked it a couple of times because of its position. (which is just below the tabs)

 

Same for me. I like to see what's going on under the hood.

I do click on ads intentionally, however, if I am interested in what the ad is about. That is, after all, what they are designed for.

 

Never clicked on an ad as I dont use the internet.

 

Then How do you access this web page?? magic?

Ans1) only some times. I clicked on ads accidently but not many time, so hard to recall it.
Ans2) either God knows or the visitors

 

I don't remember having clicked on an AS ad by mistake but I click sometimes intentionally if it's something I'm interested in.
