Accidental click on ad

I accidentally clicked on one of my ads. This is easy to do and makes me nervous I could lose my accounts. Is there a way I can set my account so that any clicks from my IP automatically are disqualified and do not count against possibly losing my account?

If it's a wordpress blog I'd recommend using the 'all in one adsense and ypn' plugin. It has an option to put 'adtest' on, which means if you accidentally click it won't be logged, and you won't have to worry about violating the TOS.

    Cheers,

One click is not going to hurt you. Everything is fine. Disable Javascript in Firefox (or any other browser) and view your site there if you are making changes to it. That's what I do. I hardly ever view my site with Javascript enabled.

I recommend you to write a message to adsense support team and explain about that accidental click..

Even single click also taken as serious in adsense.... to confirm just read adsense program policies.

AdSense claims on their site there is no need to alert them of an accidental click but it doesn't hurt... then again, it might if you have other issues that you are not aware of. It may draw unneeded attention to your site.

Oz Who See's ads is another WP plugin that will help you not see ads.

I think I've clicked at least 3 times on my own ads. Once it was stupid curiosity, while others were by accident. Just from a commonsense perspective, it wouldn't make sense for Google to ban Adsense accounts on such a flimsy basis since they'd be losing ad revenue. But it's better to be careful. I think repeated clicks on one's own ads are likely to cause some action on Google's part.

Try to aim your clicking skills. You should practice on clicking on one area of your website for 5000 clicks a day until you find yourself having better skills in clicking. You need to be a paddawan, may the clicking force be with you. Your battle with Adsense false clicks has just begun.

If you need to talk to someone or buy a light sabre to assist with clicking, visit http://www.iclickedadsensebyaccidentohno.com and they will be able to assist.

I wouldn't worry about a click or two. In fact it's probably recommended that you do so just to ensure the ad coding is working properly.

Wouldn't recommend clicking on your ads to check them out for sure, but wouldn't worry about one misclick either, and no need to inform them about this. Just don't do it on purpose, even if you find the ads really really interesting. Just type in the url to find the website instead, or google the topic. This is what
    adsense.blogspot.com says about it:
