Accessing Indian Paypal Account from USA

I have an Indian verified paypal account and i have been using it extensively for the past one year.

I am moving to USA next week for my graduate studies.

My question is will my account be limited if i access this Indian Paypal account from there.

I don't want to get a verified US paypal because i will be on a F1 visa and it is not legitimate to earn money during the student visa period.

    - I can have some one operate my Indian paypal , that is not an issue.

    What is the solution?
-Create a US paypal get money and send the funds to my Indian paypal.

I am scared to add my bank account and get a verified paypal. Will it be feasible to use a VCC?!?!?

Just have your bank account in India and transfer it to the same account and so hardly matters from where you login ( Thats what I think )

The best option for you is to contact paypal through phone and let them know of this issue. They will surely guide you properly for this.

Login doesn't matter but your bank a/c does. Since you have Indian a/c that should not pose any problem.

Thanks for the response guys.... Will call paypal and let them know.

This doubt started because a friend of mine said that there are chances that they will limit an Indian paypal account if it is accessed from a US based IP address.

I've travelled overseas and used my paypal account overseas before. For short term trips like a short week or month long holiday or business trips, you can just drop paypal a note to tell them that you be travelling for that particular time range and to which countries you are travelling to. If they inquire, just fax or scan them your VISA on your passport and your travel documents and that should do the trick.

However, if you are planning to be away for a long term, officially speaking you are supposed to close your existing paypal account and then open a new one in the country that you be staying for the long term.

Anyways, contact Paypal and check with them. Make sure that you do everything above board and not use any means which may jeopardize your account because it may seems to be more convenient or something.

I agree with eddy, I have done something similar, I informed them about my visit to Europe and been able to use the same account without any issues.
