Accessing data on 'searched for queries'

    Hi

We are trying to compile a comprehensive list of negative keywords for one of our campaigns. What would be really useful is to see all of the search queries that generated the showing of our ad. In the list of keywords within the adwords interface I click on 'see search terms - ALL' and get presented with a very short list. Maybe 30 or so keywords for every 2000 impressions.

Why is this data so incomplete? and how I can access something better?

Try the Search Query Report but it's pretty much the same thing. The data is for the clicks you receive and the most common searches.

Why incomplete? Would you want to go through thousands of different search queries? Also, Google has limited resources: that info has to be store somewhere. The bandwidth so you can download just so you know that someone once searched for "i need a red dress to impress my boyfriend at saturday's dance" is also limited.

Look through the raw query strings in on your server. There are also Google Analytics mods that allow you to see, since Google's Search Query Performance report is lacking.

Thanks for this, I guess in one sense I do want to go through the 1000s of search phrases to get ideas for negative keywords. For example, we sell chess boards and have a campaign dedicated just to chess boards. A common search querie is 'Chess board set up' which suggests a searcher intent of wishing to find out where on the chess board each piece needs to go at the start of the game.

seostew, do you know the name of any of the analytics mods that allow us to see all the search queries?
