Accessing cpanel from public computers

    Hi

    I have recently migrated to my new VPS with WHM/Cpanel installed on it. I used to be at hostgator shared hosting.

    I have problem accessing cpanel and WHM from some public computers.

    When I enter domain.net:2083, I get:

    Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR):SSL protocol error.

    I used to have the same problem at hostgator and their support told me to access the cpanel by going to cpanel.domain.net as some ports were being blocked. Can you please help me how to enable this solution to blocked ports on my VPS as well? Or any other method will do, just so I can access my cpanel from those computers also.

    thank you very very much in advance!

    You need to add self signed SSL in your browser list. So you can login without any error.

    I'm affraid problem is not in by browser. I used my notebook on this wlan and it didn't work either. Works from home and office though. It must be something I can do on server.

    SSL is also not the problem I think as I didn't use SSL with hostagor and still had problem when accessing through domain.net:2083. No problem when accessing through cpanel.domain.net though.

    Thank you all for your time trying to help.

    Ok, then try to go WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates > And "Reset Certificate" for all services.

    After that /scripts/rebuildhttpdconf at your SSH.

    Then reboot your vps. Hope that help. If not i believe there might be some problem with internal setup during installation. Then try /scripts/upcp at SSH.

    How could I just enable that cpanel.domain.net option? I don't want to mess with server config. It didn't work on shared either but I just used cpanel.domain.net instead and it was fine.

    As said, same browser, same PC works on some locations and doesn't on other, so it's not the browser...
