Accepting web advertising. Risks?

I'm being offered £200 to put a rolling ad ticker on my website. As I am quite new to this sort of thing can you tell me of any potential risks?

The website (casino-based) seems genuine enough, and they can pay me via Paypal - so don't have to give out any bank details. However, is there any danger when implementing their code on my website?

I don't know much about coding and have concerns about whether information can be stolen from my PC, or I am fretting over nothing?

They could be using the code to exploit vulnerabilities on the computers of your visitors in order to drop a virus. However, this seems very unlikely if company paying you appears to be legit and if they are paying you with paypal.

I don't see a problem if they are paying you, however, you should be careful about placing ads, for example if you are a web host you wouldn't want other ads to be posted on there. It's very unprofessional, in my own opinion.

I'd look at the payment terms. When do they pay you? How long do you need to have their ad posted before they pay?

Also, have you searched for this site on Google, Yahoo, etc.? You may find additional info that will help in your decision.

Well it depends on what kind of niche your site is and why is a casino site/company interested in placing a banner on your site. If you are also in the same industry and writing good valuable articles about gaming, then I guess the money they are offering you is definitely less. If you are not from the same niche, then as w3bmaster said, its better to not have a casino link or banner on your site if you have placed adsense ads ;)
