Hi guys. I was just wondering what could be a acceptable ctr for a site. I mean how many persons clicks any ad in every 100 unique visitors? What is the ctr that you are getting from your site? Thanks.
Thanks lazyslacker. Would u mind say how many unique visitor you get? Anybody else can give me idea about ur ctr rate?
Some of my pages get .01 and some get .40 percent. I have so many pages I don't have time to worry about it. The page that gets .40 percent has for years, and i guess the reason is because people find it boring and click ads to leave. It pays good so I am happy. I have even seen days where a page has a CTR over 100 percent, oh well what can I do about it. Google has never said a thing about it. I don't think there is an acceptable CTR threshold.
10-15% works best for me. 20-25% is acceptable 30-40% is also not a tragedy, but it's a signal that something's not right and ads are clicked too often.
Hello, Decent CTR really depends on site type and site topic and mostly not at all of how many visitors you get when it passes 100 visitors. Forums/directories should average about 1%, blogs about 4-7%, MFA sites 14-30%.
Hello intruder2600. Are you talking about what you wish to get or what you have already get. I am not sure how someone can get 20-25% ctr.
as long as your traffic is legit and clicks are legit, then you dont need to worry about CTR. i had as much as 35% CTR from one site and never had any problem as traffic is 100% organic and clicks are legit
Blog = Low page views from each unique Forum = Lot's of stuff to post, lot's of things to read, etc. = more page views = lower ctr
I have a site that gets 10-15% consistently. I wouldn't say what is acceptable, acceptable is anything that is legit. Obviously, if you have a 50% CTR, the site is mainly ad-based, and you may have a problem. Don't make pages for ads..... place ads on pages that have good content.
I have many websites, it's a rule, that website with big number of impressions has low CTR: 3-6% for me, and websites with small number of uu and impressions have high CTR, I have some websites with 20-30%, sometimes even more. It's a rule since 4 years and everything it's fine I believe that most important at hight CTR is not ads placement (good placement is obvious), but ads content - if you have "bad" ads - you can try to do what you want to make people click, and they won't. If you have "good" ads, they'll be clicking them very often. It's just a matter of luck, you can't do nothing to get this good ones.
4 to 5 % CTR is normal. Many Adsense Publisher are getting this CTR.But that is not the limit we can increase it by some hard and smart work.My goal is to get 10 % CTR in coming days so i can earn sufficient money from Adsense.
