Smoking the medical marijuana again I see. No one here has said Bush is better than Clinton. I know I've never said that. Clinton was not a very good president is probably a more accurate description. Anyway, just to give you a clue as to the success of the right as of late (well since 1994), there is no strategy. Do what the people want, and they will vote you into office. It's pretty damn simple. Now don't go telling the democrats in this country, we really do not want them catching onto our secret.
I don't think anyone here has said he was happy, it's more an understandable action concidering the circumstances. Were you there to see what exactly preceeded the "torture"? That is the typical conspiracy kook attitude that gets older and older each day. Please ... we have more rights here than any other nation on earth, we don't always exercise them, but do you really believe this could wind up being a dictatorship type of nation? You should really spend some time in some middle easters nations in order to get a true feeling of what it means to lose your freedom. Most people who complain like this, would piss in their pants if confronted with real injustice as it happens elsewhere as the norm. Be grateful to be here and make a positive difference wherever you can (we have enough complainers already!) ummm confiscating guns? I can see a reason for that given the right circumstances. I must have missed the "tackling" of old ladies though
In the aftermath of a Hurricane, when there are not organized police, the last thing you want to do is confiscate guns from law abiding citizens. I agree with you that we do have more freedoms here in the US. But with the NSA spying on Americans, Eminent Domain, and the Trans Texas Corridor, I wonder how long will Americans be free? We are losing our freedoms slowly, but surely.
They deserved an ass kicking. You throw a rock at me here in America and you can expect me to kick your ass. All you retarded people taking the side of the Iraqi kids are pathetic. It's ok for the kids to throw rocks at soldiers but its not ok for the soldiers to kick their ass and say "Stop throwing rocks at me you pathetic pieces of shit and realize you live in a shit hole country. Maybe you should throw rocks at the fucking pussies blowing themselves up in the name of Allah"
Man if I had a dollar for every time I heard that I would quit the SEO stuff all together. So I will as the same question I ask every time I hear someone claim we are losing our freedoms. Show me one single freedom you have lost personally.
I agree. Please show me. I tesla have lost ________ freedom since Bush took office. You sure haven't lost the freedom to bitch, freedom to speak out against the government, or the freedom to believe in insane conspiracy theories.
Mia, that is republican rhetoric. You have lost freedoms. The fact that your freedom has yet to be infringed upon does not moot the fact that many of your rights are in fact gone. (patriot act) I'm sure everyone thinks it's cool. Hell, George Bush said he'd only use it on bad guys, terrorists. Have you really, as a competent adult, found this man's perception to be anywhere close to rational? You are next my dear. I'm sorry you have this complacincy having bought the rhetoric. Regards.
Like what. If you are going to make a stupid statement like that, at least back it up with some evidence. "Republican rhetoric", what the hell are you talking about? Show me ONE, just ONE freedom that I or you have lost. You tried to say something about the "Patriot Act", can you elabalorate? Come on. All I am asking is for someone to tell me exactly what freedom they have lost under the Bush administration and instead I get insulted. Have some respect. Just answer my question. "Republican rehtoric" is not an answer. Show me a freedom I or you have lost. You've not answered my question. What a wasted post on your part. Just answer the question.
Fact. You lost the right to private converstaion on the phone. There will be no judicial process if George wants to tap your phone. That is the loss of a freedom, even if it is not affecting you at the moment, it can. You have no means or right to stop it. They have you completely brain washed on this one. Too bad. It's right in front of your face. Grasp it.
I don't remember phone conversations ever being a protected right. You do realize that phones have always been subject to wire taps. Apparently not. I'm not really saying anything on my phone that would interest the federal government anyway, so what would I care? Try again man. I never have. That's your answer. From Wiki: " In the United States, federal agencies may be authorized to engage in wiretaps by the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, a court with secret proceedings, in certain circumstances. Under United States federal law and most state laws there is nothing illegal about one of the parties to a telephone call recording the conversation, or giving permission for calls to be recorded or permitting their telephone line to be tapped. However, several states (i.e., California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington) require that all parties consent when one party wants to record a telephone conversation. Many businesses and other organizations record their telephone calls so that they can prove what was said, train their staff, or monitor performance. This activity may not be considered telephone tapping in some, but not all, jurisdictions because it is done with the knowledge of at least one of the parties to the telephone conversation. It is considered better practice to announce at the beginning of a call that the conversation is being recorded." Gee, you can already do this. No Patriot Act needed. Come on man, you can do better than that. After all I am just some guy brainwashed by Republican rehtoric. Next... Again, what freedom have you are I lost under the Bush admin? I'm gonna give you a hint. "this is a trick question".
I don't need a hint to see you spin this. A wire tap was possible when going through the courts only for goverment. That part is eliminated. We're not talking about tricking someone by recording the conversation and your right to do so in some states. We're talking about a third party, the goverment. Nice try, but I'm not so passionate that I can't slow down to shovel the bullshit you are throwing. Sad part is, I think you actually believe this yourself. You lose. Not cause I'm right, but because... He who sacrifaces freedom for protection deserves neither.
Spin what? I'm not spinning anything. You prefaced your post by saying "Fact." Yet you cited no source for this "fact". The "fact" is, this is not a "freedom" that was taken away from you as a direct result of the Patriot Act. That is what you implied as your "Fact". Man, I could give you a slice of pizza from Pizza Hut and you would look at it and tell me it was a Hot Dog. I could take you too the Pizza Hut and have you order it yourself, but dammit, I'd be trying to pull a spin on you. To you it would still be a hot-dog. Sorry for the goofy analogy, but I don't know how else to explain it. I've never been very good explaining reality to those lost in dementia. No spin here man. You are wrong. That's rich. Now we post Ben Franklin quotes completely out of context? If your gonna try and whip out little euphemisms like this in a feeble attempt to make yourself seem more educated, at least have the common courtesy and respect to get the quote right. —"He who sacrifices freedom for security is neither free nor secure.“ -- Benjamin Franklin BTW, you are incorrect. You still have not answered my question. Now give someone else a turn.
I have answered your question, more then once. Here's the version my 2nd grade child even understands. Just because the law has not been used on you yet does not make it go away. It exists. It exists to circumvent your right to a judge reviewing a tap request on your phone by the goverment for just cause. Your right to a judicial review is gone. That right is gone. For me. For you. For everyone. I can't make it any clearer.
Nope, sorry, you have not answered my question. I'm not sure what law you are talking about. You mentioned wire taps. Those have been legal in the US without a court order for some time. Long before Bush was president in fact. When you get wire tapped and have your rights violated, let us all know. There isn't one now. Anyone else wanna give it a shot?
LOL. She will argue for Bush until she dies. I mean, the man could come into her home and ass rape her...she would still be here defending him. Its really weird. Obviously there is a reason. I would assume its one of the following: A. She is highly religious B. She hates gays, this would kind of go hand in hand with the religion thing. C. She is in the top 1% of the nations wealthy families D. All of the above. I would say its D...
Wonder who this "she" is. Interesting how so many on this forum judge people and make assumptions. Call a black man a racist when you think he is white, call a man a women, what's next.... The ignorance here is bliss lately. Watch out... It's ly3, comin' atcha!!!
Well, "mia" tends to be a female name does it not? Besides that, I dont care what gender you are. Didnt mean to hurt your feelings sweetie.
