Absolutely necessary to be 18 years to use?

    Hello.

    I would like to add AdSense to my blog, but I am only 14 years old. Can i still register and earn money for the commercials?

    i wouldnt risk it. if you get banned.. you wont be able to use the service when you are older, trust me, you will regret it

    The Adsense terms and conditions require you to be 18 years old, so if you sign up now they will ban your account if they figure out your age. Since you have to be 18 to legally enter into a contract, that requirement is going to be true for every ad network. It is possible for your parent or guardian to sign up, so maybe that is something you can talk to your mom or dad about.

    Also, if you're going to ask your parents to sign you up, ask them to open a separate bank account under your name, with them also on the account. That way, they're should be no confusion about money coming into the account.

    :)My friend's parents thought he was running drugs and withheld his cash until he explained the whole "internet" thing to them. They simply couldn't believe you could make that kind of money on the net. If your parents are clueless, it's best to get this explained and settled up front.

    Dont bother. Since you're under 18, I suggest selling ad space here on DP in the buy/sell/trade forum. You'll actually earn money that way, rather than giving google free or 1 cent per click ad space.

    Janerikn..don't pay attention to these people
    as a matter of fact, there are quite a few premiun
    publishers with adsense on their site and some are 16, 17
    for example, whateverlife com she was 16 when she started
    and she has even said so on interviews on TV. Magazines.
    hot - lyts(.) com is 17 and a few more. So go ahead and do
    what you like. and good luck.

    I've sold ad space here for over $200 in a day and a half. It would have taken 3 weeks to make that with adsense, not to mention the month of clearing payment and waiting for a bank deposit.

    Asking your father or mother to apply to adsense isn't that big favour from your parents. I mean you don't ask them to finance your cocaine selling business. Btw if you decide to create an LLC for your cocaine selling business choose this slogen: "One snore a day, will keep the doctor away!". :D

    edit: Some jealous smartass gave me a negative rep for the joke above. :D It's pathetic how some people act here.

    To be "helpful": Janerikn, I think every father/mother would be proud of a son who wants to make some money in a legal way from home. Personally I know many parents who helped their 12-16 year old sons and daughters to sign up to affiliate networks. Making money on the internet as a teen is much better than working offline as you don't have to spend the afternoons working at some boring workplace, instead of that you can play footbal with your friends, or you can do a lot of other fun stuff.
