Absolutely Gorgeous, Adsense Packed, Unique Design, Web 2.0 Proxy For Sale

Hi All,

It is with regret that I'm selling this beautiful, custom designed Web 2.0 Proxy Site:

John Doe Proxy Dot Com

The site cost me a couple of hundred dollars to have made (I held contests here in DP for both the logo and the layout, and I also paid to have the layout coded - do a DP search for 'JohnDoeProxy')

The site has about 3 weeks left of a bold listing on Proxy.org

JohnDoeProxy.com is steadily increasing in visitors, now averaging around 150 first time visitors every day, and even better, a large number of returning visitors!

I have employed a custom HTACCESS file on the site to get rid of the crappy Iran traffic

I think I've also been added onto someone's MySpace profile (not mine, I don't have one!), because I've seen a lot of traffic from profile.myspace.com (178 hits in May)

In the last few days, I've also had 20 hits from search engines (18 Google, 1 Yahoo, 1 MSN)

The above stats are from my Awstats report, which I'll happily publish if anyone wants to see it.

Fairly meaningless, I suppose, but the site is number 1 in Google for the search phrases - John Doe Proxy, and Doe Proxy

Obviously, John Doe symbolises anonymity, and is therefore a pretty cool proxy url )

Assume no revenue, since I only put my custom Adsense channels on today. However, I can say that I had a single $1.99 click from ths site on Wednesday...

I'm going to start the bidding at $50, and I'm ultimately hoping to recoup my investment in the great design work I commissioned.

I have a new site in the making (different genre), and have recently been stung for some fake resell rights, which has left me seriously out of pocket, grrr - hence the sale!

This is a fantastic, unique site, with great potential - everyone who's seen it has commented on it's design - and it could be YOURS!

Just in reply to some sensible questions I've had PM'ed to me -

Yes - You'll get all original artwork (in both PSD & Jpeg). This includes the logo, the cool address bar/submit button, and the site layout.

Yes - You'll get the HTACCESS file which blocks the smartpricing traffic from Iran.

Yes - You'll get free push of the domain from GoDaddy, and I can recommend a great web host who allows proxies, has great customer support, and IMHO doesn't charge enough for his hosting plans (how's that for a shameless plug, Matt? )

Lastly...

Yes - Perhaps the BIN is a little high, considering no revenue is assumed (the site has made revenue, but I have no proof/custom channel data, so I'd rather not guess and mislead anyone) - I hoped to be able to recoup the design costs, hence the BIN price.

I realise that may be unrealistic, so it's not a 'firm' BIN - make me an offer and, of course I'll consider it

Otherwise, please continue to bid at increments of $5, and the highest bid will take the site tomorrow night!

And of course, check the site out, I'll also submit the site to over 100 topsites free for the winner as well (and add the code to the page etc)
