i just want to know how i would come to know what is the daily traffic for a particular website for daily/weekly basis??

really great, even better then analytics.

 

you can track your site by using different monitoring tools like Google Analytics, Statcounter, and the likes of this site. be sure to read the tutorial on all tracker to find out how to use it.

if you're talking about your own website, go for Google analytics. If you want to keep track of someone else's site on a daily basis, then I don't know that many site that can bring it in that close for you. Alexa, quantcast and compete.com will give you stats, but not daily stats.

and why you not ask the log file from your web hosting company.?

 

cant beat google analytics consider the fact its free rally detailed info.

Traffic of the website, You want's to know about unique visits of the Visitors, then you can use the GA.

i use google analytic but sometimes i use feedjit also, use it for seeing a live stats on web
