I am doing some pretty big changes today so when they are done maybe that will help. Do any of you ACTUALLY use video ads?
you said that you had 4,000 videos on the site, so "we record ourselves" is not applicable here... are you a video scraper who is in violation of numerous terms of service agreements? the odds are that your site doesn't have any kind of a theme or niche, so you'll have a hard time finding serious advertisers for a site about nothing... remember that adwords advertisers can put your url on their filter list, which means that you'll never see any of their ads again. all that they need to do is to look at the r.o.i. coming from your url, and if your traffic is crap, your site gets blacklisted. you tried all of the obvious things, so it's probably not an issue with google... at the very least, you should have been getting some cpm ads... you do know how to check your stats for site-targeted cpm, right?
Look danimal... I already have advertisers im talking to...and YES I RECORDED (UNDERSTAND MY ENGLISH) over 3000 videos myself (that means console, capture card, or human competition and playing....EVEN ON THE UPLOAD PAGE WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY YOUTUBE OR MATERIAL NOT RECORDED BY THE UPLOADER) . I hold world ranks on alot of games and am a pro gamer (so are most of the people who record for the main part of the site), so dont come here talking like that when you know nothing about me...And FYI companies like Capcom, Sony, who created alot of the games we cover know of our site and actually commended us on some of the gameplay we have produced for their games. It`s all about the bigger pictures now. Now with my adsense in a mess as it is (and I KNOW it is) with no proper advertising done I get over 1000 impressions and am kindly (I use the words) asking for expert opinions on the whole Adsense thing, for we all cant be pros at everything, lord knows I dont like adsense issues..... So dont come on all "words of wisdom" talking down to me like that, it`s no appreciated, i`m not some child being chastised here, it`s about talking civil and constructively, I can understand that approach..
glad to hear that you aren't just another youtube scammer, this forum is full of that crap... what makes you look suspicious is the fact that you refuse to post the url that you are asking for help on, but i can sort of understand that. how come you aren't getting any of those site-targeted gametap ads?
in google adsense game, don't hope so much on creating a bulk of money if you're not able to create a good marketing strategies for your site. Im also fail with GA. Until now (after 1 and a half year) im still enjoy myself doing some improvement to my site step by step. My income per day is just 10 to 1 cent only. But, i never have the words "give up" and keep my site as original as i can. Do it for fun, the best thing will come to you slowly.
Video sites generally get clicks on ads very less, it is quite natural,. people come there to see the videos and why will they be interested in text ads, best option for you is to have video ads-if g is permitting you to use it, those ads will convert crazy on video sites-once again simple reason 56% surfers arent aware to distinguish between ads and content of the site- this is from a google research time, that is why you get smart priced sometimes to the extent of 56%
To danimal - no problem, and I also do not like the ones who simply suck videos via the auto programs and create a site, even though some do ok with that cheapness..(grrrrrrrrrr) . I am really restructuring my site at the moment. I will PM you the address when Im done, not a problem amigo. Gametap ads? And as for the impressions and click comments, thanx. My main issue I think is the ad placements (which I am changing) and being able to get the right ads. To the person who said I should do it because I enjoy it, well I was with adsense for a while before, if I wanted just the money, I`m sure me, and 80% of the people in these forums would have given up ages ago

sydawn, you could try feeding some urls into the sandbox, see what kind of ads you are getting there, gametap.com has been flooding the adsense sites with banners: http://www.labnol.org/google-adsense-sandbox
Yes, you can try other. However, I do feel adsense is the best option for most type of sites because of the relevancy of the ads. Nothing else matches it. If you ahve very high traffic though you can try CPM ads or something like that. It may work better.
If Adsense didn't work, no other CPC program will do. Just stick to it and see if the situation change. Or else, you can go with any CPM advertisement network like CPX Interactive.

I looked into the Sandbox and I see that with my urls The US and UK bring out excellent results. I see that since I am based in Dubai the rubbish ads its picking are based on this region, when my actual people are majority in USA, Canada, UK, etc etc. So how can I make my site ads be based on these regions instead?
