i'm about to get vps however i'm not sure what should i get. so i decided to ask you. i have a wordpress blog. it is kind of gallery blog, i have 25k pictures in the blog. it is getting 3k-3.5k visitor and 10,000 pageview per day. Last month my bandwidth was 250gb and since my website is getting more attraction my bw need will increase too. however i'm not really concerned about that. i was thinking getting fully managed vps from knownhost -coz it's most affordable and well-known-.. 1024 ram is enough? ssd vps makes that much different compare to regular vps? plesk or cpanel? - i heard cpanel uses more memory than plesk but i think i doesnt matter that much tho- i feel like 1024 mb regular vps would be okay for me, coz i was on shared hosting till now but i wanted to ask you just to be sure. if you've another suggestion i wanna hear that too..
Good choice mate. Knownhost is great when it come to Vps. You can't go wrong with them. 512MB Linux VPS can be very speedy and if you choose 1024MB + ssd vps = Very good speed! I like cpanel, but if you don't want to pay extra fee then go with the free one (open source) like webadmin, zpanel & etc.
I'll suggest VPS Hosting (http://www.vpshosting.com.hk/en/home). Had a good experience of a low cost but sturdy support. Receiving Satisfaction is the key to good hosting
I would not go with hostgator just because they have limitations to what you can do resource wise. You snot think that unlimited is really unlimited. You pay for what you get. I would say chat with the host you are considering and ask them what would work best, compare prices see if you can get a little discount and can be easily upgraded when needed. Have a look at diploy.net they have great support and a good network. Support is what it is all about, most hosts have good hardware.
cloudee.eu is among the cheapest and best performing value for money that i found after trying several vps.
so i got my VPS from knownhost. After I got it, I literally ask them 1000 questions, since I didn't sleep 24 hours I had lots of time to ask. Their support is almost perfect. So far I'm happy with everything but it's been just 2 days, I hope everything goes that smooth all time. screen shot of my inbox:
for better name you can try hostgator but if you want find cheaper you can try digitalocean just $5 but i never use it just my friend satisfied with it
You can try also using LetBox.com . Their support is good, their packages are mostly for people that know what they are doing. But their prices are the best on the market that I have found. My VPS has never being down, except for data center maintenance that lasted 30 minutes, but nothing like outages or fails from node server. Try them, for the price you get a good hosting deal. I have paid $15 for 3 months of hosting with a lot of resources.
All your questions could be solved by professional team of decent host. As for quality VPS I'd recommend BudgetVM.com services. You will get high uptime and skilled support, prices are reasonable.
I'd recommend taking a look at WiredTree for VPS hosting. They are based out of Chicago and have a great reputation in the world of VPS. They also have 24/7 phone support, which is a nice feature.
ChicagoVPS.net is the best option for you I suppose. They are providing high performance servers and high level customer care.
I moved my money sites to Linode a few years ago and they're awesome. Its more of a build from scratch host but they really have been awesome.
Well , if i were you i would choose a provider that is being operated by professionals i had experience with many providers , jaguarvps , solarvps, photonvps ,liquidweb all are good in a way but i wasn't satisfied till i moved to a new provider called natcoweb (http://www.natcoweb.com/) i used their ssd kvm servers , i should admit i didn't expect much from them , as i was driven to their website by one of their agents . But after a while i was impressed by their speed, the 70 dollar vps i bought was faster than a $200 USD server i had with liquidweb that was it
Peter you need a negative like for that terrible attempt at "I'm just trying to be helpful, but ignore the fact that my email address is on the same domain I'm promoting" brand of marketing. It's a little concerning that you were surprised about the customer service at your own business.
I can say that BudgetVM.com is really trustworthy hosting provider. You will receive quality service of customer care and affordable prices.
