Check it out at blogads.com. It's invite only (I don't have any)

I'm actually in the middle of the pack traffic-wise as far as celebrity sites go.

OK, I gotta give you credit for an engaging site. I never do this, but I did it today.. I actually went and downloaded a plugin so I could watch some of the content.

If you can get me to do that, then hell, your site has got the goods end of story.

I know of sites earning thirty times your PPC revenue, and I give them barely a cursory glance.

    Well done,

    JL

    well done.

however, you need a new host. I ended up closing the tab because it was taking forever to come up.

looks like you are ready to goto the next level sir :)

USD1,000 within three months is great.

I was using my 7-year-old site to serve Adsense ads since Jan 2006. Jan to June 2006 averaging USD300. July to Aug 2006 - USD400. Sept/Oct - a big jump to above USD1,000. Regreting for not doing it earlier. Dropped below USD1,000 last month since traffic had decreased significantly despite a lot of articles submitted to article directories. I guess too many articles being published and mine probably buried among the huge piles.

Nice site. You mentioned you put in a lot of work and it shows.
I'm curious about your process. Is anything automated ?

Do you just have bookmarked sites you visit daily to see what's new or do you do something more automated like use a RSS reader ?

If you have a blog that's very time critical like celebs, politics etc it would be cool to have some kind of an RSS aggregator that has a "blog this" link that would create the post in your blog. You then just comment on it and you're done.

I started with dreamhost. Don't know if I'm quite ready to go VPS or dedicated. Try again and let me know (I almost never have a problem accessing it--though the last few days, I've experienced a little downtime).

It really is. It saves me so much time being able to scan 20+ sites in a matter of a minute or two.

Congratulations on the success. Very well deserved.

I think apart from all of the technical webmaster type factors the main reason for celebslams popularity is your writing style. Very witty.

Try placing this code above your main leaderboard ads:

Just replace image url with the urls of high quality 150x100 pics.

This more than doubled my CTR when I implemented it.

Did you write all that content? Wow, you deserve it.

be warned... the "Images above ads" is really questionable. Though it will increase your CPM it is also grounds for the boot. I think you should do it though. Your site is clearly content rich. How much time do you spend on all that blogging?

Good question, how much time it gets.

But looking at 1000$ per month it could take 8 hours a day like normal work :)

I am sure its lot more satisfying earning $1000 a month for 8 hours work a day than work earning $4000 a month from fulltime job.
