I haven't been here for quite a while, and today I came back and noticed the newly implemented google ads. Is there any way to get rid of these things? Also what is the reason for this new addition? Do members have to become premium to lose the ads? Like, paying for premium membership and the ads are gone sort of thing?

    Thanks.
    :)

Well to answer your question, nope ~ no memberships. Just ads. :) Whatever revenue comes from it probably just goes back into the forum so I don't mind them really & I'm glad they're there. :)

Yeah, they go away if you stay out of the B/S/T section, but that's the only way to make them disappear.

They dont really annoy me. It is fair enough that the shawn wants to make some money, since we are all using his free service. I think if it was your forum you would probably want to put a google ad up there as well.
