its also good to put a "put your email here!" so you can gather an opt-in list. Some people who might not buy the product now, might buy it a few days later when they start getting tips and trick taken from the product.

YES! get the email address before passing the user on...this is by far the biggest "newbie" mistake made with landing pages.

Think about it....you spend money and/or time to get them to your landing page and then you allow them to leave with no hope of contacting them EVER again....Why do you think almost ALL of the ClickBank product sites have an opt-in option? They are simplying taking the traffic people like you are sending for free and making money with it when they capture the email and remarket their product (or someone elses) via email. You would think that you would make money on those followup sales since the user is cookied with your Clickbank ID but they also steal your commissions by sending those follow-up emails with hoplinks from another one of their clickbank accounts, thus overriding your clickbank ID and making a commission on their own product.

Of course you will also need an autoresponder to follow-up with those emails. Try aweber.com. They aren't free but it's easier than trying to setup your own and their delivery rates are the best.

I hope that helps you...and others.
