Hi people By trying to get some site-wide link exchanges for an Arcade, i've noticed a couple of weird things (at least they look weird to me), so i would like to know more about that: 1. Are links are really sitewide on arcades, where are 20 links or (so) in sidebar, and 'more links' link, which links to a separate page (in arcade sites it is quite usual look). Is arcade script somehow rotates it or webmasters just simply cheating by saying that links are sitewide... Question: when exchanging site-wide links with such site a you really get a sitw-wide back link? 2. Another thing i noted that there: The links looks like http://www.site.com/out.php?linkid=19 etc. I mean site.com is the publishers site, not 'your' site. Though it redirrects to 'your' site when clicked. Question: are these links not totally useless for your site pagerank? Just wonder... Thanks for reading, hope someone will reply
yes they are useless for your PR. You are getting a backlink but it's not sitewide. It'll be a random script, or a script giving each link adequate time in the sidebar. The links like that are only useful for traffic. I wouldn't say this is general chat though :/
Twistedspikes, thanks much for the explanation, Though people still claims that it is site wide links About general chat: i just choosed neutral zone as nowadays in link exchange forum category people gertting infractions (and i got myself) just for replying in a thread with question etc. Seems like the rules changed there. I just got paranoid speak there, thats all sorry for that
