I am new to this category I want to know how to SEO my own website that gets me better traffic??

There are various ways to do SEO but the basic thing is to do LinkBuiding i.e. getting hosts of votes for your site. Once you promote your website, you need to do the following things:

1. Check out the Home page Content and include the main keywords in it.

2. On Page optimization:
i.e. you have to do keyword-rich title, description, meta-data editing, altags, H1, H2 headings for your website.

3. Off Page LinkBuilding:
i.e. directory submission, article submission, bookmarking, rss submission, commenting, forum posting, blog posting and much more..
