Do you guys use templates, for proper looking emails, Where did you get them and What email program do you use ? Thunderbird, Outlook ? I am not in any web business just looking into it a bit out of interest, i use gmail for personal emails, and it seems rather uncouth, which i notice particularly when a web business sends me an email, and they have a nice layout with signatures and such. Any good tips ?
what is a "Professional Email' ? You want to look like an ad or you want to get read? I personally trash any templates I get but read "personal style" emails, even if they're not personal but just a staight 'pitch fest'. I always laugh when I get "company email" that tries to look "professional", with some staff handling the mailing trying to make a "good impression" hahaha, email is not about the design, it's all about the words.
Of you use Outlook or Outlook Express, you can create an HTML file to add as a template which will then show up in every email you create. TOOLS-->OPTIONS-->COMPOSE-->MAIL-->SELECT Good luck.
Best ones i've seen aren't on the preset world. For a totally professional email, ask someone to code you one with specific details, colors and typefaces of how you want them to look like. Host your images on your site and send the code via email. Most coders know the standards in emails.
That's a good point. Bottom line, if you really want to make it look professional, do it up as a professional looking graphic, get it to the size your email defaults to and then use the code: <div id="pic" align="center"><img src="http://[path to your website].com/[graphicname].jpg" (or gif)></div> This code should be put into a simple html page and then conjured through the method I've previously mentioned.
ummm. are you talking about a formal contract or just a email. any provider is just fine, although if you are using a POP email @yourdomain.com it does sound more pro pro.
