About profanity

I might have used profanity here and there in my website, as a, let's say, "humour instrument" if you will. They had no intention of really offending anyone (i.e. no hatred messages), but with these stories of Google banning people for - aparently - little or no reason at all, I became a little concerned.

Being that my website is not commercial nor professional but rather simply a livejournal, IMHO there's no way of completely abandoning coloquial terms.

What are you views on this matter? Is it really an important issue that I should address and prevent from happening again, or am I overreacting?

    Thanks :)

i'm meticulous about avoiding words that might trigger any sort of adult filter with the commercial websites i manage. even seemingly innocous stuff like Essex.

why don't you ask gg themselves? it's a fair and reasonable question.

Ok, I just read the TOS and it clearly says that EXCESSIVE profanity shouldn't be used.

Then again, that leaves to say exactly how much is "excessive".

I was considering adding AdSense to a website which features song lyrics with some swear words in them. After I read the rules I decided not too. Some time after I did find a site with similar lyrics running AdSense, so it may be ok?

    Again, "excessive profanity".
