    ping site send your website link to various location, if u ping your blog in ping o matric and similar site, u will know better idea.

    I think ping site is not promote your site in proper view, because properties as FFA site.

    I'm not sure if I understand these responses however when you ping your site or blog you are notifying a number of services that keep track of weblogs and publish them that you have updated your blog/site. They in turn crawl your site and publish it's contents hopefully increasing its popularity.

    PIngsites are sites that are used in pinging. In this way blog directories and even your subscriber are informed that you just updated your blog or added a new post to your blog. I use pingoat.com or pingomatic in pinging.
