    Dear Friends,

I am planning to use OsCommerce open source (http://www.demo.oscommerce.com/ ) for my e-commerce site.

I have a problem to edit information section located at left side at bottom ( like Shipping & Returns, Privacy Notice, Conditions of Use ,Contact Us). And to add new links (linke Introduction, Features etc)

I have login on Admin Section and I am unable to find the link to edit above information.

Any body can inform is there any feature to edit these information dynamically?
    Or
Should I need to develop own panel for dynamic update.

Please visit osCommerce Demo Site: http://www.demo.oscommerce.com/

I also requested to share your knowledge about osCommerce ..( adventage / disadventage/ security options)
I am waiting for your reply.
I hope I will get the reply.

    Best Regards,
    Bhoj

Hello, I've worked with oscommerce before and all the content are static execept of course the usual output of products, titles and menus (and some other things)

Look at the templates files on oscommerce, when you install it the main page says that to edit the message you must edit the template file too.

osCommerce is secure, but as any other web application/software it needs to be updated when the team releases a new version. Not to mention if the server that is hosting you is secure (have seen a few ones without mysql root password)

    Hi,

To edit the information section located at the left side can
be found at the Admin->Tools->Define Languages section.

Advantage - it's an opensource, cost you nothing and most of all
you can customize all you want to do.

Disadvantage - Can be hack but it's easy to make it secure.

Security options - SSL and Password Protected Directories

I hope this will help you.

    Regards,
    Mark
