I never said the 99% were bad people. Just think of the scripture at 1 John 5:19 which reads We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one.

It just means that Satan, as it says from 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 which reads If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine through.

Satan is "the god of this system of things".

Not condemned to hell. Hell does not exist. The Bible is misquoted. BigDoug is referring to Gehenna. Meaning everlasting destruction or the "second death". Yes, we are in the "end times" or "last days" and have been so since 1914 when Jesus was made King of the heavenly government. He is just awaiting the order from God to release the armies of Jehovah (Armageddon).

You may be deceived but that doesn't mean others have to be too. You can say all you want but I know it for a fact that you are paid to "spread the word" going door-to-door.
Everything you say is twisted as to confuse, disappoint people and to make them lose their faith eventually.

Oh, so you know the owners do you? Luxury condos? You make me laugh. Our organization would never invest in anything of the sort. If anything, it would be rebuilt to make it into a place that helps spread the good news. Where's the evidence of this buddy? good news? since when the end of the world is good news? how about you do some research on the top level of your organization? It is the good news of the kingdom that will replace all other kingdoms (Dan 2:44). Of course it is not good news that all sorts of people will be destroyed. However, those people who will be destroyed refuse to know God.

On Russell: Are you making out that we should be perfect in our lives as Christians? No one is perfect. We have all inherited sin from Adam (except for Jesus). You should look up "sin" in several dictionaries and encylopaedias to get the real meaning of it.

Look! There hundreds if not thousands of web sites that denigrate Jehovah's Witnesses. If the information in those pages are true, then why is our organization growing at an astonishing rate? Because people find out the "truth".

When you talk about spreading misinformation and such, you are actually referring to yourself. I don't blame you though. This was all prophesied in the Bible and if you check it out, you will see who is behind all of this.

I don;t have to prove you wrong. The Bible can do that all by itself. It is the only measuring stick to go by. Sure, some of us have got it wrong in the past. But we have learnt by our mistakes and have researched a lot heavier into the facts.

I suppose it does not matter what I write here. You have already judged. I can only pray that you find the "truth" in your own way.

I used to know people who joined your group and all of a sudden became a whole lot wealthier. Could be coincidence but I've seen many cases.

What can you say about the pyramid-shaped tomb of Mr. Russell? He was obsessed with the occult system of the ancient Egypt. What about the fact that he never studied the bible? committed perjury when asked about his knowledge of Greek?

 

Does it really matter what Mr Russell did or said. The main point is getting the truth from the Bible. There have been many in our organization who have fallen out due to material pursuits or have experience spiritual shipwreck. That does not mean everyone else has to go on that course. We have rules and laws to go by (from the Bible of course) and by that, these people are "weeded" out. The remaining ones should fall in line with Jehovah's way of thinking instead of their own. Don't forget that we "all" have an account with God when it comes to his day. We will be judged by our deeds. Just because some have performed bad deeds does not mean we all should be tarred with the same brush.

I don't know a lot about Mr Russell but I do know about our organization as it is now and I know a great deal about every member of my local congregation. Every congregation that I have visited has been the same as my local congregation. I went to the international convention in Sydney in 2003 with 60,000 others. It was the best experience in my entire life. Why? Can you ever believe that after a gathering of so many people, that when they are waiting at the nearby train station (about 4,000 people), we all stood around and happily talked and did so as we boarded the train. There was no pushing or shoving, the elderly were looked after with seats by the youth etc.. I ask you this....where else can you experience this type of love amongst humans?

Really, it is similar to say that every German wants to kill all the Jews just because Hitler did. Is this your view?
